Elaphe team consists of physicists, mechanical and electrical engineers and entrepreneurs dedicated to developing the best solutions in the field of in-wheel electric drive. Our headquarters are located in Slovenia’s capital Ljubljana in the office building of Tehnology Park Ljubljana. We are positioned within walking distance to many major educational and research establishments, with which we cooperate on a continuous basis. As one of the benefits of Slovenia’s small size we are never more than 2 hours drive away from all our local industry partners.

The CEO and co-founder of Elaphe LTD is an ambitious entrepreneur with tehnical background in physics and alternative energy sources. He started his first business in 2000 at 21 years of age and in 2003 he began working with Andrej Detela on in-wheel motors. They co-founded Elaphe in 2006 and Gorazd took the position as the CEO of the company. Under his leadership, Elaphe established itself as a presence in the international electric propulsion market and is aspiring to be one of the leading global players in the electrification of the automotive market.

Andrej Detela
Andrej Detela
The visionary behind Elaphe has been working on in-wheel motors for 25 years. Between his vision of a modern car and his deep understanding of physics he developed a complex analytical theory of motor design and optimization. The result of Andrej’s work is a generation of motors that already found their place in the robotic industry in the early 2000′ (KDU unit by the Japanese HDS inc.); and the new advanced generation specially designed for electric cars and presented by Elaphe LTD. Andrej is widely recognised both for his work in theoretical as well as applyed physics and is renonwed for his creativity and knowledge.
